The Holiday Party
December 9, 2008 – 8:07 am
Usually this time of year is full of buzz about the upcoming holiday party. It goes without saying that this year is a little different – budgets are tight. But that doesn’t mean you have to go without a party this year – and you shouldn’t.
Here are some low-cost ways you can get your employees out of the office and celebrate the holiday season together!
Location
There are plenty of places you can go without having to rent a room. If you’re feeling brave, invite your employees and spouses over to your house for dinner. You could also go to a local pizza joint or bowling alley. All of these locations keep the party casual, so there’s no pressure to buy something new to wear.
Food
The holiday party can always be potluck. Encourage your employees to sign-up to bring their favorite holiday dishes. Or treat them to pizza – always an easy, fairly inexpensive way to feed a group!
Entertainment
The best entertainment? Games! They’re easy, don’t cost a lot of money and, most importantly, are FUN. After some searching on Google, I found a website that has a good list of holiday games.
If you’d like to share your holiday party ideas, please post a comment!
