When I found out Medical Arts Press is going to offer degradable plastic bags, I was instantly fascinated. These bags are supposed to degrade after approximately one year. The plastic will become brittle and quickly disintegrate into brittle flakes, which do not create methane in landfills. To me, it sounds too good to be true ...

As of April 1, 2008, Medicaid outpatient prescriptions must be written on tamper-resistant pads. By April 1, prescription pads must have one (1) or more of the security features, and by October 1, 2008, the pads must have at least three (3) security features.
